CREATIVE DIRECTION • PRODUCTION



For the Los Angeles Central Library’s 100th anniversary,
LAPL partnered with WAG to develop a special edition library card
as part of the larger Central 100 campaign.

Drawing from the original Goodhue building’s art, architecture, and typography,
the design translated the campaign identity into a functional, collectible object for the public.

The card was designed to feel rooted in Central Library’s historic visual language,
while the broader Central 100 campaign extended that same identity
across collateral, signage, merchandise, and exhibition materials.

In the Wild:
Once released, the limited-edition card became a visible part of the Central 100
campaign through LAPL’s social channels, helping translate the identity into a public,
shareable object that resonated with patrons.
